PET pre-filter (Polyethylene terephthalate)
Helps capture airborne particles before air reaches the inner layers.
The Purilux ceiling air purifier combines air cleaning and LED lighting in one fixture. By working above you, it keeps the space around you open.
Air and light, together
Bring air cleaning into the ceiling. Purilux combines filtration and adjustable LED lighting in a single fixture, keeping floors and work surfaces open.

Inside Purilux
Air cleaning happens inside the fixture. Explore the path from room air to filtration and back.
First, the built-in fan draws air from the room into Purilux.
Next, the four-stage ULPA system captures particles. Activated carbon helps reduce certain gases and odors.
Then, filtered air flows back into the room. Meanwhile, you control the light separately.

“Nothing outweighed the benefits of adding ThinkLite Purilux technology to our buildings. We vetted several other options, and we found the Purilux to be the most effective, seamless, and scalable product for our campus. It truly helps keep our school operating at top capacity.”
The bigger building picture
The Indoor Air Quality Procedure, or IAQP, is a performance-based approach within ASHRAE Standard 62.1. It considers pollutant sources, outdoor air, and air cleaning together.
A project-specific design can evaluate how those elements meet indoor-air requirements. However, it is not a blanket replacement for outdoor air—and a product alone does not establish compliance.

Bring your engineer into the conversation. We can discuss product information and the performance data needed for your design.
Start with your space
Build a preliminary estimate from your room, clean outdoor-air flow, and a project-specific clean-air target.
Understanding air changes
An air change is a volume of air equal to your room's volume. Air changes per hour (ACH) put that airflow in context.
Outdoor-air ACH describes how much outside air reaches the room each hour, relative to its size.
The Purilux ceiling air purifier recirculates air through its filters. Equivalent air changes per hour (eACH) express its particle-cleaning contribution. Unlike outdoor-air ventilation, it does not bring in fresh outdoor air.
For example: 4 eACH means an hourly clean-air volume equivalent to four room volumes. It does not mean every particle is removed or all the air is replaced every 15 minutes.
Illustrative example, not a Purilux rating or a recommended target. Your engineer selects the appropriate target for the room. Learn about air changes from CDC ↗ (opens in a new tab)
Particle clean-air planning tool
Starting value: 211.9788 CFM, listed in the current Purilux filtration guide. This is a planning input, not an independently verified test result. Use the applicable tested value when available.
Calculations stay in this browser. Room inputs are not submitted to the inquiry form or added to tracking.
Your planning estimate

Enter the outdoor-air flow and clean-air target to see an estimate.
Preliminary particle clean-air estimate—not ASHRAE 62.1 IAQP or Standard 241 compliance. The extra unit is a planning allowance, not an ASHRAE requirement or a guarantee of safety.
For feet and CFM:
Target clean air = room volume × target eACH ÷ 60Calculated units = round up [max(0, target clean air − credited clean outdoor air) ÷ per-unit CADR]Then add one planning unit. Assumes a well-mixed room, clean outdoor-air credit, and the entered CADR at the intended operating setting. No credit is added for other HVAC filtration. Placement, maintenance, outdoor pollution and actual operating conditions can change performance.

The Purilux ceiling air purifier combines air cleaning with adjustable LED lighting. This page features the 2 × 2 Purilux Pro configuration with handheld remote control.
Yes. Because lamp and fan controls are separate, the remote lets you choose Light + Purify, Purify Only, or Light Only.
No. Recessed, surface-mounted, and suspended installations are available. Before choosing a mounting option, confirm the appropriate hardware and electrical requirements for your ceiling.
Use the planning tool above with room dimensions, clean outdoor-air flow, and an engineer-selected equivalent air-change target. It estimates the particle clean-air gap, rounds up the fixture count, and adds one planning unit. An engineer must confirm the final design; this is not an IAQP compliance result.
Not as a blanket rule. An IAQP design must address the applicable standard, site conditions, contaminant limits, and verified air-cleaner performance. An engineer must evaluate the complete project.
Purilux has replaceable filters. Inspection and replacement needs vary with operating hours and conditions. Ask ThinkLite for the applicable service instructions and replacement-filter information.
